For several years, the Board of Directors of Women for Health and Wellness, Inc. has been discussing a Southern Illinois Men’s Health Conference. They have seen first hand how the health of men affects the lives of women in the region. When the man in the family does not take care of his health, it can have long-term ramifications on the ones he loves. This summer, Tom Corpora of Carbondale and Kevin Hunsperger, WSIL’s Health Reporter, agreed to be Co-Chairs of the Southern Illinois Men’s Health Conference. They have brought together a Steering Committee comprised of area men. Together they have planned the program and have made plans to make this a ground-breaking event in southern Illinois.
