Jo Poshard
Ms. Poshard is a life-long friend of education and children. She
graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Ms. Poshard taught in the public school system for thirty-two years at
the secondary, middle school, and elementary levels. Upon her
retirement from teaching in May, 2005, she assumed the directorship of
the Poshard Foundation for Abused Children housed at John A. Logan
College. Ms. Poshard was recognized as a "Child Advocate of the Year"
by the frontline child abuse agencies in Illinois.
