Ann L. Knewitz
A Co–Founder of Women for Health and Wellness, Inc., Ms. Knewitz is a Registered Dietitian. She spent 30 years at Marion Memorial Hospital as the Director of Dietary Services and the Director of Materials Management. Ms. Knewitz has been a Dietetic Consultant for the Marion Federal Prison, St. Joseph Hospital and several nursing homes. Presently she is a Dietitian consultant for Health Technologies, Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri and an instructor for the Illinois Department of Public Health. Ms. Knewitz has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Southern Illinois University and completed her Dietetic Internship at the Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. She is a Past President of the Southern Illinois Dietetic Association and the Illinois Dietetic Association and has served on the Board of Directors for Southern Illinois Hospice, Substance–Abuse – Parent & Community Together and the River to River Running Club. Currently she is on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Science Center and is the Chair of Treasures in Time – A Vintage Style Show. For many years Ms. Knewitz has also been the Chair of the Southern Illinois Women’s Health Conference.
